In level II, we are going to aim for consolidating basic language skills (A2 CEFR) in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

This course will prepare students to pass an internationally recognized exam (Start Deutsch I or II). Therefore, the course will also familiarize students with the format and requirements of these exams.

The teaching method relates to the communicative language teaching approach, which means that the pragmatic usage of the foreign language in a relevant and modern setting is taught.

You will be required to speak German and take part in group and individual training in the foreign language in class and at home.

The course will be taught mainly in German with frequent comparisons between Chinese, English, and German in order to work with positive and negative interferences.

We will be using DaF Kompakt A2 as our main textbook and training progression as well as training materials will follow this textbook closely.

If we have time, we will also familiarize ourselves with some of the online training offers by Deutsche Welle.
